Kafka - An Introduction

Those, and I am one of them, who find the writing of Franz Kafka endlessly fascinating - if at times wilfully oblique - will welcome the arrival of Kafka: A Very Short Introduction. It's a beginner's guide, but one which can be enjoyed by the enthusiast as well. The tormented life; how to approach and interpret the stories; Kafka and the body; Kafka and institutions; and notes on the tragic last years.
