Reading Week - May 2010

Just as I make plans for another reading 'week' and assemble my literary fodder for survival in hot Andalucian sunshine - the bloody Icelandic volcano starts erupting again! Isn't it about time the wind started blowing in a different direction?

I will be returning to an old favourite, Victor Serge, whose Unforgiving Years I enjoyed so much on my last trip. I'm also looking forward to reading the original Patricia Highsmith novel of Strangers on a Train, the film adaptation of which I have seen several times, and a theatrical version of which I saw recently at the amateur Garrick theatre in my home town.
