Improve your Writing Skills

I should have called this a writing not a reading week. My plans to catch up with recent publications have been derailed somewhat by the need to produce emergency support materials for my students. I teach an online essay-writing course for the Open University, and a few of the beginners were struggling with basics. So, plundering my own work from the distant past, I've written some guidance notes on how to use commas, semicolons, colons, and full stops, as well as how to take notes.
