A new feature has just been added to the impressive range of services offered by the ever-expanding folk at Mountain View, CA. Type a search term into Google Trends' minimalist search box, and it will return graphs and a bar chart showing the volume of searches from 2004 to the present. It also shows crucial news events linked to your search term, plus cities and regions of the world where the search was made. And as I read recently, Google really does love blogs. I posted recently on Typography & Biscuits - and sure enough, if you search on these terms it comes out number one.
